We manufacture timeless and elegant pieces of house hold furniture using the best raw materials sourced locally as well as foreign imports. The craftsmanship of our most talented workforce earned us the term “House of Prestigious Wood Products”. Our story is not limited to Pantry cupboards and Bedroom furniture. We had the privilege of having been awarded some of the most prestigious turnkey interior projects in the country from 5 Star Hotels, Boutique Hotels, Luxury Apartments, Office Interiors to VIP Lounges and High-end independent houses. And as our story continues, we are celebrating our 40th Anniversary in 2024 and are planning many changes within the group. We are now the second generation of the Family inherited Business.

Mr U Godagama who is the founder of the business initially in 1978 and, in 1984 after introducing Private Limited Act to Sri Lanka, they created the Brand “Techwood”. Since then we have been pioneers in Pantry cupboard business and luxury house hold furniture sector having 2 state of the art production facilities in Kandy and Colombo with an approx workforce of 150-200.  With the 40 year experience in hand, they have catered to a clientele of more than 2 million customers local and overseas.

The Techwood generation keeps continuing and now the second generation of Mr. U Godagama’s daughter Mrs. Upeka Godagama, a lawyer by profession (Director Legal and HR) and Her husband Mr. Damitha Kelekorala, a marketer and a business consultant (Director – CEO) are heading the business into new ventures and they are diversifying into different market segments and new businesses.

With their expertise they are planning to set up another production facility at an Industrial Park with the intention of starting an export business.  Meanwhile, Techwood is planning to manufacture locally for world renowned brands as a contract manufacturer.
